Hai Di Lao

Image
Emma surprised me by agreeing to go to HaiDiLao today.  We reached the Bedok outlet shortly after twelve noon.  There wasn't a queue.  We were served some snacks before shown to our table.  About a 10 minute wait. They provided aprons to protect against splatter.  We selected the mala and chicken soup.  Chose less spicy and less numb, soup turns out to be quite bland.  Ingredients were quite standard or at least what we ordered.  Like the soya bean milk and the la mian presentation which was given complimentary.  To have the sauces is an additional $4 top up which is almost a must.  But fortunately they did not charge Emma.   Meal ended with a fruit platter, ice cream and mentos.  Overall a nice experience, service was attentive but not over.

Beginning

I have been yo-yo-ing between healthy living and indulgent living for the past 5 years.  As such weight has been yo-yo-ing as well.  But more recently, weight has been on a constant increase, clothes are getting tighter and photos are getting chubbier. Also a couple of reminders from well meaning friends to exercise. I think it is time to begin my quest for sustainable healthy living. Easier said then done as I have recently signed up a ABC cooking class and attended a trial bread class and complimentary cake class. Anyway, today is as good as any day to start. So I will come in here everyday to give an update to keep myself going.😄
